Take your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training or Mental Health Assistant role to the next level with advanced training in behavioral and mental health. Prepare to provide care for the unique needs of people with mental illness, dementia and/or developmental disabilities under the direct supervision of the mental health professional. Students may be eligible to take the level 1 American Association of Psychiatric Technicians (AAPT) exam. Additional student costs include textbook, fingerprinting and immunizations, national certification exam. It is recommended but not required that students be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
