Are you looking to gain a deeper understanding of your own bicycle and how it works? Taught by local professionals, this class will give insight into what our area bike shops are looking for in an entry-level bike mechanic. This class is designed to build a foundation of technical and personal skills necessary to land a job in a bicycle shop. We will discuss customer service and retail skills as well as gain an understanding of tools, techniques, and resources and how to efficiently put them to use. Just looking for extra bike maintenance skills? The hobbyist mechanic will also benefit from the knowledge and tools presented in this class. Students will have a chance to practice skills learned each week in an open lab format in the Outdoor Center.
