Dental Assistant - Expanded Functions Series

Complete the entire expanded functions series for dental assistants. You will receive online and hands-on lab instruction with a registered hygienist. The series includes: administration of nitrous oxide/oxygen analgesia, polishing restoration, application of pit and fissure sealants, coronal polishing, and temporary crown restoration. You will save four hundred dollars by taking the entire series versus single modules.
A registered hygienist will evaluate your competencies for each function in the lab.
Prerequisites: Proof of employment with a minimum of six months experience as a dental assistant.  Current certification by Dental Assistant National Board (DANB), OR graduate of an accredited dental assistant program, OR DANB approved dental assistant program. Or you may challenge the Fundamentals of Dental Assistant exam approved by Idaho Career and Technical Education.
