Complete the Nitrous Oxide/O2 Analgesia expanded functions module for dental assistants. You will receive instructor facilitated 6-week online instruction with a registered hygienist. Your supervising dentist may provide initial skills training and on the job clinical experience. Your final competency evaluation must be with a different dentist within your office or at another practice. Computer assess with high speed internet is essential to take this Expanded Function's module.
Prerequisites: Proof of employment with a minimum of six months experience as a dental assistant. Current certification by Dental Assistant National Board (DANB), OR graduate of an accredited dental assistant program, OR DANB approved dental assistant program, Or you may challenge the Fundamentals of Dental Assistant exam approved by Idaho Career and Technical Education.
